The absolutely amazing Liverpool-based label New Violence Records is back for its landmark 50th release this June and we have the absolute pleasure of presenting the exclusive premiere of Onur Özman’s ‘It’s Coming’ featuring Cari Golden. New Violence is a label that I have followed since day one. A label that has introduced us to some amazing artists and has been established as one of the most respected and sought after labels in the industry. This EP is a fine example of just why that is a fact.

The original mix of ‘It’s Coming’ kicks off with a huge drum groove that is engrossed in swinging toms and bright cymbals. A deep saw wave makes up the low end which gives the track a moving emotion. The synth lines are absolutely captivating. Onur has put incredible attention to detail in each element to make them really stand out. The vocal becomes the cherry on the cake and adds a real mystical aura. What a fantastically unique track this is!

Onur also introduces us to another side of his underground persona with his ‘Deep Edit’ of ‘It’s Coming’. Again, he has delivered a stunning array of interesting elements which really keep us drawn in. Things feel a bit more spacious and the track allows the mind to wander. Onur has absolute expert levels of musical knowledge that shine through this brilliant record.

Seyzer Uysal brings us his remix which is slightly more progressive. The dynamic synths fill the spectrum with feelings of pure elation. The analog sound provides a delightful warmth and we are put into a state of tranquility. Joal’s remix, on the other hand, is a bit techier and groove-oriented, with a nice tom line providing a swinging low end. Piano’s are introduced which really take the track to the next level. They make it feel very old school, but with a nice modern twist. A brilliant end to a brilliant EP.
