Artist: Mihai Popoviciu

Label: Bondage Music
Release: Out Now!
Genre: Deep House

Romanian superstar Mihai Popoviciu has carved a path to success through consistently solid releases and blinding sets. Part 1 of the ‘Home Remixes’ series seen top notch remixes from Steve Bug, Pornbugs & Dilby, Peter Makto & Gregory S, and also a remix from James Dexter. This time around, we have another fine selection of remixes from some of the finest artists around which are all set to absolutely blow the roof off in all manner of venues.

We get underway with Tuccillo’s remix of ‘Focus; which is just sublime from the get go. The track is packed full of atmospheric chimes and gritty drums whilst a solid, short bass plucks away in funky fashion. The vocal adds a nice width and a filtered stab keeps things moving around in the mids. This is such a fun track.

El Mundo’s remix of ‘Triumph’ slowly builds us up as each element is introduced. The instruments sound of Eastern origin whilst the main body of the track is pure grooving House. The percussion is simple, but very effective and gets us moving with ease. This is one of those tracks that effortlessly grabs our attention and it gets us excited for more.

Sascha Dive’s version of Music 999 is packed full of crisp dynamics and feelings of elation. The track feels deep and moody but totally thought provocative and full of style. Sascha really knows what it takes to make a dancefloor shake. The world renowned artist has proved once again just why he is held in such high regard.

Kevin Yost’s remix of ‘Hypnosia’ really does hypnotise us with its spacey parts and strange melodies which sit on top of that thick kick drum and groovy bassline. The bright drums are expertly sculpted to sit brilliantly in a very well balanced mix. This mid-groover will be tucked nicely into dark, moody sets throughout the underground world and it’s easy to see why. Top record.
