Red Bull Music Academy commission local Liverpudlian graffiti artist to create a unique piece of art

There’s something amazing happening in the centre of Liverpool today and tomorrow, with the Red Bull Music Academy commissioning a local graffiti artist, Dead, to create a piece of brand new art.

Dead is an illustrator and fine artist who dabbles in digital and large scale art. RBMA have commissioned him to create a brand new piece of work on the Ropewalks Square, just off Bold Street, starting today and finishing on Thursday, ahead of the RBMA Tour which debuts in Liverpool from 6th-9th October with guests including Jamie Woon, Moodymann, Krept and Konan, Kenny Dope, Hunee, Greg Wilson, Young Marco and many more at some of the city’s most iconic locations.

Dead has been a graffiti writer for over 20 years, developing a number of styles and continuously pushing the direction of his art towards an intuitive, direct connection to what he creates. His creative process can be just as important as the final outcome, producing intricate, vibrant and complex letter forms with an organic but futuristic vibe, which he will be bringing to Liverpool’s city centre this week.
