Dave Clarke Returns To Liverpool

303’s musical identity has always been clear, “booking DJs that have a career that transcends the history of electronic music, yet remaining focused on its future”. Dave Seaman, Slam, Justin Robertson; all selectors that fit the bill, and all people with a connection of some level to Liverpool. You’d be hard pushed to argue that any of the aforementioned come close to that city synergy as their next booking. November 1st sees 303 welcome a man who epitomises it like few others, Dave Clarke.

In Liverpool’s 25 year plus love affair with acid house, Dave Clarke must surely rank as in the top five of the most revered and important DJs to grace the city’s heritage. As a defining voice of the British techno development of the nineties, his Red releases encapsulated the very best of the UK’s advancement of what started in Detroit. Synth driven masterpieces that were relentless in both their speed and scope, with him a regular fixture at the city’s defining techno party of the time, Voodoo.

As the turn of the century approached he became more and more established, and a pivotal player in rediscovering of old school elector years before magazines attached the word clash to it as a buzzword. It was his residency at another peerless Liverpool institution during that time period, Bugged Out that makes him still discussed in hushed tones across the city.
Since then he’s remained an international anti-hero, a force that constantly flies in the face of all that dirties electronic music, an outspoken titan that has been remained a component of Merseyside club culture, as well in the likes of Chibuku and Creamfields. Now he is bringing techno to the tunnels, and it will no doubt be a master class in all that is techno.

With all the early bird tickets selling out in a matter of hours you are well advised to get your tickets whilst they are available. This event will no doubt sell out well in advance of its scheduled date so go grab yourself a ticket, you will not be disappointed. Expect Dave to declare sonic warfare on the tunnels, and expect the odd crazy costume from this friendly, up-for-it, Liverpool crowd.
