Alfresco Festival 2018 completes line-up with Derrick Carter, Hercules & Love Affair, Man Power, Mr Scruff and Interstellar Funk

Family friendly and musically magical Alfreco Festival is pleased to announce its first wave of headliners for the 2018 event. Taking place from 25th to 28th May 2018 at the beautiful Hop Farm in Kent’s rolling green countryside, the likes of Call Super, Derrick Carter, Hercules & Love Affair, Terry Farley, Man Power, Mr Scruff, Psychemagik and many more will all be providing the cosmic curveballs and house delights.

Alfresco is a festival designed for all the family, with plenty of tasteful activities on offer to keep young ones busy, as well as wonderful stage deigns and exotic arenas all splendidly decorated to provide safe spaces to dance the days and nights away. Welcoming to one and all, this musically driven festival will have stages hosted by essential and much loved brands, labels and parties such as Catch Recordings, Clandestino, Future Disco, First Floor, La Dame Noir, Micron, Midnight Riot, Nein Records, Phonica Records, Strut, We Are The Sunset and more to be announced.

Musically, once again, Alfresco has pulled out all the stops, with a high class mix of selectors covering a mature and musical array of sounds from boogie to funk, a spectrum of house, disco, funk and lectronica. Leading the charge is man of the moment Call Super, whose albums on Houndstooth and mix CD for Fabric have proved few come close to his technical DJ skill and sense of invention in the studio.

Next to him legends like Derrick Carter and Mr Scruff with bring the vibes, famously deep diggers Psychemagik will surprise you with every tune and the legendary New York disco outfit Hercules & Love Affair also serve up a sure to be dazzling disco set while Correspondent artist Man Power’s machine sounds will also be on offer. Add in previously announced guests Chicks on Speed, Optimo, Horse Meat Disco, Tim Sweeney, Fort Romeau, Ghost Culture, Spencer Parker and Curses and you have a fantastic programme for the three days.

Ahead of the big event, there are a series of warm up events including boat parties on March 9th with Justin Robertson, then April 21st with a special secret guest. There will also be a long easter weekend in the south of France in Marseille at La Dame Noir featuring Justin Robertson, Bird of Paradise, James Hadfield, Logan Fisher, Jonah Considine and more.
