Anthony Rother launches new label GHOST ARCHIVE

Esteemed producer Anthony Rother will launch the new imprint with a four-track EP that comes out on November 19th on limited, silver-coloured vinyl. GHOST ARCHIVE will explore a vibrant techno-driven sound showcasing a rhythmically dynamic, immediate and more straight-forward approach in contrast to his puristic electro productions on PSI49NET.

The start of the new label is yet another achievement that reflects how busy and inspiring 2019 have been for the Offenbach-based producer. Rother has not only appeared on DVS1’s Mistress Recordings and Radio Slave’s Stranger in The Night but also returned to his platform PSI49NET with two EPs. Both 12-inches continue the sonic exploration of a twisted electro-techno sound that pursues the stripped-down energy of techno while maintaining electro’s eccentricity, without sacrificing some of Rother’s iconic sci-fi trademarks.

“I had been thinking about the idea of founding a new label for quite some time. In the past years, I decided to produce music exclusively for my DJ sets. During this process, I’ve collected more and more tracks, but the only way to share these more club-orientated cuts was to start a new four-on-the-floor label. While PSI49NET remains a pure electro music label and my main outlet, GHOST ARCHIVE will incorporate something you could maybe describe as emotional techno, although the boundaries to other genres will surely become blurred in the future.” – Anthony Rother
