72. THE SOCIAL FESTIVAL: UK
The Social is a boutique music festival showcasing the world’s greatest dance music acts in the idyllic setting of Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent. The Social originally launched on the 28th September 2013 and closed the summer in style, bringing a taste of Ibiza to the south east of England with a line-up of the world’s most discerning electronic music talent. Located a stones throw away from London at the beautiful Mote Park (formerly the location for Radio One’s Big Weekend 2008), The Social is brought together by Saved Records, the independent music label of renowned house and techno DJ Nic Fanciulli. The Maidstone local has been bringing credible dance music to Kent over the years through the much-loved Saved parties. Wanting to push boundaries and continue to share their love and passion for dance music with the local community, the team at Saved Records will continue to strive to improve and grow The Social.
73: TIME WARP: ARGENTINA/GERMANY
2014 is the year that surely deserves its mark in your calendars. Having the last 20 years of Time Warp in mind – starting from the early beginnings in 1994 up to today – we want to thank you for your support, for two decades of living the moment and feeling electronic music. Therefore we’re really happy to announce the „Time Warp 20 years Tour“ in 2014. This tour will not only spread the Time Warp spirit over Europe: for the first time ever Time Warp will cross the ocean and make its debut appearance on the South American continent, which is also the first tour date to be revealed: Time Warp Argentina! On 30th and 31st of May 2014 Buenos Aires will be the first stop on our journey. This means that this Time Warp edition will not only be the first abroad Europe but also the first one keping the action going for two days! The line-up for this double premiere will be released by the middle of February along with the presale start. Be sure to find an appealing mix of big and upcoming names in it, coming together in this intercontinental electronic music experience!
74. TOMORROWLAND: BELGIUM
Tomorrowland is a large electronic music festival held in Belgium. It used to be organized as a joint venture by the original founders, the brothers Beers together with ID&T, subsidiary of SFX Entertainment. The festival takes place in the town of Boom, Belgium (16 kilometers (10 miles) south of Antwerp, 32 kilometers (20 miles) north of Brussels), and has been organized since 2005. It has since become one of the most notable global music festivals.
75. TROUW: NETHERLANDS
Situated on the Wibautstraat in the east of Amsterdam, Trouw is a nightclub, music venue, event space and restaurant housed in the former newspaper printing facility of several national newspapers. Trouw combines food, music and the arts, and was the first nightclub to receive the 24-hour permit from the city of Amsterdam.
76. ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL MIAMI: USA
Ultra Music Festival (UMF) is an annual outdoor electronic music festival that occurs in March in the city of Miami, Florida, United States. The festival coincides with the annual Winter Music Conference, also held in Miami. In 2013 the two Ultra weekends were held on the weekends that began and ended WMC.
77. WARUNG: BRAZIL
The perfect combination of music and harmony, integration with nature and a special public may be the best explanation for the magic of Warung Beach Club. But as the magic is always there its mysteries, the best and leaving explanations aside and simply enjoy. A night at Warung is never equal to another. Therefore, all are special. Besides the name, theme decor and design have a strong connection with the islands of Indonesia. Warung is built facing the sea on the paradise beach Brava Itajai, one of the most detached from the coast of Santa Catarina.
78. WATERGATE: GERMANY
Watergate is a split-level, two-room club overlooking the River Spree in Berlin’s Kreuzberg neighbourhood. Located on the river’s edge with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, it offers a panoramic view of the Spree with curtains that can let the daylight in as the club night winds down. Known for its LED lighting panel that spans the entire length of the top floor of the club, Watergate mostly plays host to house and techno parties. In 2008, it started a record label: Watergate Records.
79. We Are FSTVL: UK
We Are FSTVL needs no introduction after its sell out success in 2013! We’re back once more @ The Airfield Of Dreams, Damyn’s Hall, Upminster, Essex. This time for 2 days and 2 nights together with the biggest names in electronic dance music alongside some of the world’s leading club brands and labels in a remarkable setting. Taking place on Bank holiday Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th May 2014, We Are FSTVL will play host to over 150 artists across 16 stages and arenas over 2 days magical days from 9am – 00.30am.
80. WOMB TOKYO: JAPAN
Opened in the centre of Shibuya in 2000, Womb is a 1000 capacity club that spreads across four floors. The main floor is equipped with a full digital soundsystem, high-quality strobe lighting and lasers. Weekend nights often host guest artists from overseas, usually centered on techno, drum & bass and electro. Sven Vath and Richie Hawtin have played at the club in the past, though Womb also has a focus on supporting new artists from Japan as well. Since 2008, the club has hosted an annual indoor festival WOMB ADVENTURE, which attracts nearly 10,000 people for each edition.
