Last summer the Leeds-born, Ibiza-based duo announced via a frank Facebook post, their intention to host and curate an alternative to Ibiza’s super clubs, a more intimate affair with unannounced DJ line ups, free entry and reasonable priced drinks with a vibe more akin to a house party. The manifesto was well received with the post going viral and the party quickly gaining a cult following.
There were plenty of artists willing to lend their support to the concept with (mostly unannounced) guests appearances from the likes of Ben Russell, Burnski, Dave James, Eddie Leader, Funk D’Void, Justin Harris, Kevin Knapp, Lee Webster, Mar T, Marc Romboy, Mundros, Russ Yallop and Tuccillo.
This Sunday it all starts again providing space to hang out, to enjoy and to dance for those who are free thinkers who dig a little deeper. Still free entry, free spirited and counter culture!
With the focus of the party not necessarily on the DJ but on a friendly and fun atmosphere and minimal deep tech dance floor action, Veto is the perfect setting. The venue was the first post office in Ibiza is now great little underground club adorned in trippy, industrial art from the twisted mind of venue manager Pablo Chichan. There’s also an outdoor terrace to hang out and mingle.
This summer the Sunday Social team will comprise of a small group of resident DJs Lorcan, Nelson Moirera & Carlo Gambino with unannounced guest throughout the season. Keep an eye out for our campaign where we pay homage to some of the independent thinkers who we admire who went against the grain in the pursuit of self expression.
