Audiotool, the leading innovator of browser based music production tools, has announced an interactive preview of their highly acclaimed software synthesisers as Web-MIDI enabled HTML5 incarnations. While relying on the Adobe Flash platform for the last years to power its online DAW, Audiotool was working hard behind the scenes to move its entire platform away from Flash to native HTML5. The first fruits of their efforts can now be experienced on their website.
Their two trademark synthesizers, the Heisenberg a modern phase modulation synthesiser and the Pulverisateur a classic polyphonic synthesiser, can be played live with your MIDI keyboard in low latency mode thanks to the support of the new Web-MIDI-API. The Machiniste, a drum computer aiming sample player, is also online.
While Audiotool states that their complete Studio application with professional grade Timeline and advanced audio routing capabilities will be making it online later this year, this three masterpieces of browser based software synthesisers are already online, so check them out now here, here and here!
Audiotool is a cloud-based audio workstation that is all about the process of music creation in an open, inspiring and collaborative form. Audiotool launched in 2010 and 650k users have registered with the free software. It started as a TR-909 emulation that Andre Michelle created in 2008. Earning the kudos for being one of the most innovative and capable Flash developers in the world, Andre Michelle was stalked by the idea that everyone should be able to make music. After 3 years of research and development this vision was fulfilled in the form of Audiotool. It has been awarded internationally for its design and rigorous development and praised by electronic music producers and the press:
“To anybody who is interested in making electronic music I would definitely say, check this out. You can really do everything that you would normally do in a real-world studio.” – Richie Hawtin

“Audiotool has already established itself as one of the best online platforms for music creation.” – Future Music Magazine
