Austin-based producer Fennec returns with After Hours, a deep house EP infused with jazz textures and intimate late-night energy, released on the French label Noire & Blanche. Inspired by rituals of solitude and altered states, Fennec crafted a sound that captures the freedom and introspection of the after-after party, where the night lingers and the mind drifts.
Across the EP, tracks like frankie comes from strekov blend hypnotic grooves with jazzy flourishes, while other cuts explore the warmth and meditative flow of early-morning creation sessions. Drawing from nearly six years of demos, Fennec channels the intimacy of solitary evenings and the timeless influence of early Noire & Blanche releases from Folamour, Loure, and Tell.
After Hours is music for those quiet in-between hours, suit jacket on the floor, a drink in hand, letting the mind wander. With this EP, Fennec invites listeners into a private late-night world, where deep house and jazz converge to create moments of reflection, bliss, and freedom.
