Today Babylon Festival, Australia’s new electronic music and lifestyle camping experience, has announced its partnership with techno pioneer and Ibiza King Carl Cox. Carl will act as an official partner on the event helping to curate the musical programming, shape the multi-faceted ethos, and will join the line-up as a headliner for the festival. With decades of experience playing and producing some of the best events in the world, Carl will bring his unparalleled knowledge of the electronic landscape to the Babylon community.
“I am super excited to be part of the Babylon family. The magic of a three-day camping event is something every Australian music fan should experience, especially in these amazing locations. Words can’t describe the fun to be had with friends at such gatherings. I travel to and play at Burning Man regularly, and many other destination festivals of this kind, so I am proud to be a part of Babylon and I am looking forward to playing an extended set in the spirit of an outdoor journey like this.” says Carl.
Carl will weave his magic in extended sets at both simultaneous camping events, offering a sonic journey into the house and techno of tomorrow with an ear turned perpetually towards the past. With the backdrop of the Australian wilderness behind him and the energy of a new community at foot, Carl will offer fans a musical exposé not to be missed.
Carl is the latest to join Babylon Festival’s star-studded international line up, including the likes of Dirtybird boss Claude VonStroke, Psy-Trance stalwarts Infected Mushroom, mau5trap mainstay Feed Me, techno pioneer Luke Slater playing as Planetary Assault Systems, “All Day I Dream” founder Lee Burridge, Swedish/American duo Pleasurekraft and the recently added Psy legends LOUD. With over 100 acts yet to be announced, revellers of this debut event are in for a singular experience of a lifetime.
The Babylon experience extends far beyond the music, offering a vibrant cultural melting pot ripe for exploration, education, and personal growth. This multidisciplinary treat for the senses boasts an array of activities set to revive and rejuvenate guests. Punters may find themselves taking yoga classes, nourishing their bodies at the finely curated and expansive Food Village, shopping at a marketplace of locally designed fashion and products, or attending mindfulness and meditation workshops.
