Berlin Atonal announces a multi-part concert series to punctuate it’s Metabolic Rift (un)guided exhibition-tour through the entire Kraftwerk building to be held from September 25 – October 30th, 2021.
After two years of lights-out Atonal will host performances in the Kraftwerk complex again. Highlights include an opening concert with Canadian sound-master Tim Hecker, a site-specific A/V performance from SpaceAfrika, a large-scale realization of Caterina Barbieri‘s light-years label platform project, a world premiere of the collaboration between Flora Yin-Wong + Laila Sakini, a performance by the mesmerising Eli Keszler, a co-presentation of caner teker‘s KIRKPINAR with the Julia Stoschek Collection as part of A FIRE IN YOUR BELLY (with another stand-alone performance scheduled for the 20.10), and a new project combining Shackleton + Wacław Zimpel in association with Unsound.
The Metabolic Rift exhibition showcases works spanning from kinetic sculpture by Jamal Moss (Hieroglyphic Being) working with Cyprien Gaillard, to an in-situ work from Amnesia Scanner’s Ville Haimala together with Sung Tieu, sound installations from Pan Daijing, futuristic city-scapes designed by Congolese sculptor Rigobert Nimi, a collection of drawings from visionary artist Liliane Lijn, sculptural pieces from Giula Cenci, new works from Tino Sehgal, and much more. Other notable pieces come from Aho Ssan & KMRU, Lyra Pramuk, and Vladislav Delay.. and many more.
