Book of the Month – UK Rave Flyers 1990 – 1991

UK Rave Flyers 1990-1991 is the second volume in the phatmedia UK Rave Flyers trilogy. The book documents the two years that transformed rave from an underground movement into a national phenomenon. Drawing on the unrivalled phatmedia archive, the book reproduces more than 700 original flyers from warehouse parties, free-party sound systems, unlicensed raves, legal all-night clubs and the first generation of large-scale licensed outdoor events. Featuring hundreds of meticulously restored flyer artworks alongside exclusive interviews, oral histories and rare photography, the book captures a unique moment in British cultural history.

It also includes commentary and first-hand memories from the DJs, promoters, designers and ravers who helped shape the scene, including NJOI, Altern-8, LFO, Shades Of Rhythm, Dream Frequency, Utah Saints, & many more.

It is in shops on 13 November, but pre-order by 10 September to get your name printed in it and to receive it first. UK Rave Flyers 1990–1991 is A4 (30cm x 21cm), and the 292 pages are printed on premium heavyweight paper.
