Crowdfunding campaign kicks off to open a new record store in Berlin

It is always a nice end to the week when friends of Decoded Magazine; Owen Howells and Mike Davis launch new online record store and crowdfunding campaign for a physical store in Berlin. We just love out vinyl!

Carousel’s online store (www.carouselrecords.net) launches on August 1st with a curated selection of new and old house, techno and electronica. The aim of this accompanying crowdfunding campaign is to fund a physical store and event space in Berlin of the same name.

“Crowdfunding is a progressive, democratic way to enable young, passionate entrepreneurs such as myself to get an idea off the ground and into action. Carousel, if successfully funded will be a great asset to Berlin’s rich cultural and musical landscape. Forgive me for the cheesy wording but it really is so much more than a record store. We aim to create an engaging community space, connecting people at a local and global level in the name of music and community.” – Owen Howells and Mike Davis
