Curiosity Music invites Nic Fanciulli and Matthias Tanzmann in Paris on May 12th

After three nights at Nouveau Casino, Paris and two parties organized in Nantes and Lille, Curiosity Music is preparing a new large-scale event. On May 12th at Yoyo, the famous basement of the Palais de Tokyo, Paris, the young French label will gather Nic Fanciulli, Matthias Tanzmann, Marwan Sabb and Swann Decamme. An unprecedented line-up in the French capital.

Wherever they live, Techno, House and Minimal fans may already book their Friday, May 12th. Curiosity Music invites them at Yoyo, under the famous Palais de Tokyo, close to the Seine River, between the iconic Eiffel Tower and Champs Elysees. Given that it is used to receiving Techno stars from all around the word, this vast clubbing space equipped with one of the best sound systems in the French capital will host two international headliners, Nic Fanciulli and Matthias Tanzmann, the Parisian night shaker Marwan Sabb, and the rising French label founder Swann Decamme.

A year after his last visit in Ile-de-France at Marvellous Island festival, Nic Fanciulli is back in the City of Light. Pillar of the British Electronic scene, the DJ, producer and boss of Saved Records has played for more than a decade in the biggest clubs and festivals around the world. Grammy nominated, Nic has collaborated with such different artists as Underworld, Kylie Minogue, Loco Dice and Josh Wink, not to mention his version of the highly cult Radiohead’s Everything In Its Right Place. Once again, his elegant cocktail made of Techno and House should put the dancefloor on fire.

Rare in France, Matthias Tanzmann, whose last performance burnt the Showcase last October 31st, will share the headline with Nic Fanciulli. Brilliant representative of Deep and Tech-House scenes, the German DJ and producer born in Leipzig also founded his own record label, called Moon Harbour. Resident of the legendary Circoloco parties at Ibiza’s DC10, he has worked with some of the biggest names in the Electronic sphere, including Martin Buttrich, Moby or Josh Wink. His style is unique in the way it threads together elongated grooves, subtle melodies and infectious basslines into soundtracks that never lose sight of the groove and keep people locked in for hours on end. Last fall, after Restless, out i2008, Matthias released its second album, entitled Momentum. Since then, he has been into a new world tour.

Marwan Sabb and Swann Decamme, two hosts At Yoyo, two Parisians will host Nic Fanciulli and Matthias Tanzmann. Marwan Sabb, Franco-Tunisian born in Champagne region, is a fine addict to House and Minimal sounds. Raised with the music of German pioneers, including the world famous Kraftwerk, he got into production by playing the piano and the synthesizers. After a few years in the French army, he moved to Paris to live fully his passion for music. Since his debut, Marwan has shared the stage with Nina Kravizor Apollonia and is about to host the great Marco Carola in an upcoming INSoMNia party. Last year, after signing an EP on SCI+TEC, Dubfire’s prestigious label, he distinguished himself with an edit of Michael Jackson’s In the closet produced with the Dutchman Joey Daniel and broadcasted worldwide thanks to Marco Carola.

On May 12th, the fourth man to listen and watch will be Swann Decamme, DJ, producer and founder of Curiosity Music, Parisian label launched last fall. Studio Stakhanovite, he recently released two new EPs with Mark Howls, his faithful partner in crime: Curiosity, published by Curiosity Music, and Ability, promoted by Trapez.To highlight the performances of these four DJs, the organizing team will set up an original scenography especially designed for this occasion. Placed in the light and video control cabin, Pipo completes the artistic team of this first Curiosity Music Label Night at Yoyo. Electronic ticketing for this event opens on Monday, April 3rd.
