Damian Lazarus Announces Complete Lineup for Day Zero Tulum: Begin Again

Once a year, an eclectic global tribe is drawn deep into the jungles of Tulum for a ritual where ancient tradition, untamed nature, and the hedonistic pulse of the dancefloor converge. On January 9th, 2027,ย Damian Lazarusโ€™ Day Zeroย returns to the grounds where its mythology was first born, carrying revelers from the fading light of dusk through the deepest hours of darkness and into the rising sun. Today, Damian reveals the cast of selectors and live acts from across the global underground who will shape the next chapter of this jungle gathering.

Born in 2012 around the completion of the Mayan calendar, Day Zero emerged from the Tulum jungle with a spirit of renewal that continues to define the gathering today. Long before the region became a global destination for electronic music, Day Zero established a blueprint for experiences shaped by the land, culture, and communities around them โ€” bringing Mayan ceremony into dialogue with forward-thinking music, art, and production. That pioneering vision has since traveled far beyond the Yucatรกn, with Day Zero expanding to Brazil and Bali in 2026, seeking out destinations that can become enduring homes or inspire singular, one-time gatherings while carrying forward the ethos born beneath the Tulum canopy.

Guided by Damian Lazarusโ€™ masterful curatorial hand, Day Zero has always found its magic in the collision of sounds, scenes, and generations from across the electronic music spectrum. His 2027 selections continue that tradition, drawing artists from disparate corners of the electronic world into the jungle for a musical journey built on contrast, discovery, and the unexpected. The lineup features Keinemusik visionaryย &ME, Brazilian powerhouseย Vintage Culture, electronic iconย Tiga, New York house legendย Victor Calderone, Maccabi House co-founderย Mita Gami,ย Mellow Circus founderย Brunello, and piano house favouriteย LP Giobbi.ย

Reaching further into Damianโ€™s musical world, the billing welcomes French house tastemakerย Chloรฉ Caillet, Apollonia co-founderย Dan Ghenacia, revered UK diggerย Jane Fitz, genre-defying live instrumentalistย Satori,ย South African house visionaryย Culoe De Song, idiosyncratic German producerย Robag Wruhme, hypnotic Berlin favoriteย Mira,ย Swiss-French artistย Deer Jade,ย and Romanian minimal pioneersย RPR Soundsystem, comprised ofย Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu, andย Raresh. Ever committed to uncovering emerging voices and championing the avant-garde, Damian also welcomes Londonโ€™sย Hard Antoine,ย Tel Aviv riserย Rafael, Tulum-based multidisciplinary artistย LUM, and rising producerย Mary Jane.

Deep within the jungle, El Teatro remains a home for the sounds of Mexicoโ€™s underground โ€” a tradition born when Day Zero became the first international festival in the country to dedicate an entire stage exclusively to Mexican artists. For 2027, the stage welcomes Chihuahua electronic-funk outfitย Midnight Generation,ย Mexican house prodigyย KinAhau, Tijuana house and techno duoย Soul of Hex,ย and Crosstown Rebels-signed supergroupย Secret Echoes (Live), comprised ofย Metrika, Estefani Brolo, andย Balcazar. The stage continues with dark-edged Mexican producerย BadWolf, Mexico City electronic explorerย Antaares, Tulum-based selectorย Jawar,ย live electronic artistย Johnny Chief, and underground selectorย Katanaย โ€” together tracing the depth, experimentation, and evolution of Mexicoโ€™s electronic music culture.

Yet Tulum remains the source, and Day Zeroโ€™s relationship with the land extends far beyond its dancefloors. Throughย Crosstown Consciousness, Damian and the Day Zero team continue to support the surrounding community and environment with initiatives ranging from solar-powered street lights throughout Dos Ojos and turtle conservation along Tulumโ€™s coastline to beach cleanups and the restoration of various educational buildings in the area with blocks made from sargassum. Since 2022, Day Zero has also worked with Mexican company PETGAS to transform festival plastic waste into biodegradable fuel used to help power onsite infrastructure, alongside extensive recycling systems and a strict no single-use plastics policy across the grounds.

Day Zeroโ€™s connection to Tulum also remains rooted in respect for the cultural and spiritual heritage of the region. Working closely with local Mayan leaders, the festival incorporates traditional ceremony throughout the experience, honoring the traditions and land that have surrounded Day Zero since its beginning. On January 9th, Damian Lazarus once again calls his global tribe back beneath the jungle canopy, returning to the source for another journey from darkness into daylight.
