Decoded Residents Radio presents Naif

Global A&R Manager for Decoded Magazine, Ian French aka Naif is passionate about every genre of music from Breakbeat, to Drum & Bass, to Techno and Progressive House. If he was to describe his preferred style of music he would probably describe it simply as electronic music. In regards to style of music Ian really does play across all genres and really does not want to be pigeonholed as a DJ that plays a specific style. His influences at present include James Zabiela, Max Cooper, Sasha, John Digweed, Mauro Norti, Flying Point and Synthetic Epiphany. Basically anything with a great melody and makes you want to move.

As part of his role as A&R Ian manages a team of writers under Decoded’s music review section, he’s also quite a passionate music reviewer himself. You can read his latest work here. Ian has recently launched a new mix series titled Aphelion, this is a four part series of mixes that is not bound by the restraints of genre. Aphelion aims to bring an interesting cross section of music to the listener and this Residents Mix is a 60 min edit of the opening mix and a taste of what to expect from this incredibly gifted DJ.
