Hertfordshire lad and self taught music producer, Myles Webb aka Xspance has been making music for a few years now. Inspired by film scores and uplifting music that tells a story, he is a huge fan of artists like Jon Hopkins, Ulrich Schnauss, Apparat, Echaskech, Audioglider, Joey Fehrenbach and Nick Warren’s downtempo Soundgarden’s, even Sasha’s Involver series…
After discovering his style as a UK based Electronic music producer going by the name of Xspance, he finished and self released his debut album ‘Night Echoes’ in Feb 2014 on bandcamp, following up with a subsequent 2 track release including a reconstruction of Lonely Satellite, a track from the album. He has remixed numerous tracks including music from the latest album from Echaskech – Origin, one of which appeared on the huge Touched Two compilation. He’s collaborated with Joey Fehrehbach & Audioglider who themselves have made many appearances seminal releases such as Nick Warren’s Paris GU30 compilation in 2006.
After being discovered by Norman Hines Stripped label, Xspance’s debut release is out now on Hype Muzik. The sultry “Disappear With Me” also features Audioglider on remix duties. Myles is currently working on his next album which he hopes to get finished before the summer of this year.
For his Sunday mix, Myles takes us on a journey through his own influences with a mixture of some his personal favourites both old and new including a collaboration with Echaskech and new material from Xspance himself.
