Dekmantel Soundsystem lands residency at XOYO

Rounding off our sixth year, the XOYO residency series has seen the likes of Andy C, Calibre, Hunee, The Black Madonna, Ben UFO, Simian Mobile Disco and Bicep. We’ve gone from strength to strength curating an eclectic and broad range of events over the years. This year is no exception and we are incredibly excited to announce our most recent collaboration…

This October we welcome Dekmantel Soundsystem to XOYO. The Dutch collective, headed by Thomas Martojo and Casper Tielrooj, are responsible for putting The Netherlands’ vibrant dance music scene on the map. As DJs, they offer back to back sets full of rare grooves and genre bending curveballs. As a brand, Dekmantel exists within its own framework, garnering serious credibility through their own festivals, labels and commitment to nurturing homegrown talent from the Netherlands and beyond. Dekmantel has been noted for its unpretentious programming, playing with classic lineup ‘rules’, offering a varied mix of renowned DJs and rising stars through start to finish.

Maverick curators and DJs, they are highly respected within the electronic world and for the first time ever they are bringing their winning formula to the UK, to a club setting for 12-weeks. Fresh off the back of the roaring success that was the 7th Dekmantel Festival this July, we’re excited for them to bring the festivals idiosyncratic vibe to XOYO. Heralded for its inclusive nature and for curating an environment that feels simultaneously grand and intimate, Dekmantel is a truly unique and exciting development in electronic music. With a strong, trusting, loyal and flourishing fanbase, you know you’re getting something good when the Dekmantel stamp is on it.

Not ones to follow the norm, Casper and Thomas have handpicked a tasteful and eclectic lineup covering a wide range of styles and genres, hailing from the Amsterdam scene and beyond. On the opening night October 11th, we’ll have a Dekmantel Soundsystem all-nighter with all advanced tickets just a fiver, then an all-Dutch affair on November 8th as Legowelt plays live, with Hague mates Intergalactic Gary and I-F completing the night. Whilst favourites of Casper and Thomas, diversely influenced Dutch group The Mauskovic Dance Band bring something unique on November 4th. Or for an all-out British drum and bass onslaught, Calibre, LTJ Bukem and Storm hold it down on November 29th. The closing party will be a family situation as a raft of Rush Hour and Red Light Radio DJs including Antal, Cinnaman, Orpheu The Wizard, Interstellar Funk all line up, with Max Abysmal and Woody’92 going B2B in room 2 to complete the bill.

With other acts on the bill like Call Super, Dj Python, Donna Leake, Helena Hauff, Mad Mirian, Palms Trax, Ross From Friends, Tom Trago and Bufiman, this is going to be one to remember. Join us on Friday 11th October as Dekmantel Soundsystem kick off their twelve week residency. Expect serious vibes and high energy from them and their impeccably curated lineup.
