Dixon’s Transmoderna is coming to NYC

New York City’s underground events collective Teksupport have announced Transmoderna featuring an all night long set by Dixon, taking place at the innovative ArtsDistrict Brooklyn on April 29th. A hybrid collective, Transmoderna creates virtual exhibitions through the combination of contemporary and multimedia art, soundtracked by genre-bending sets from co-founder Dixon.

One of the foremost flag bearers of modern electronic music, Dixon has remained seminal figure at the intersection of music, art and fashion .The Berlin-based, techno icon is revered for the continued success of his Innervisions label, his own fashion label Together We Dance Alone, and technology platform Transmoderna, among other ventures.

Founded in 2019, Dixon’s Transmoderna sits at the intersection between electronic music and digital arts, cross-breeding visual technology development with multimedia art and top-tier house & techno selection in order to create mind-bending visual shows. A selection of artists have been invited to curate visual aspects of the show, which will be displayed on ArtsDistrict Brooklyn’s 360-degree projection system.

Since opening in Summer 2022 last year the 25,000 square feet ArtsDistrict Brooklyn has provided a canvas for sensory exploration, forward-thinking creativity, and inventive experiential curation. Formerly the House of Vans skatepark, the reclaimed events space bridges its industrial roots with cutting-edge innovation, boasting state-of-the-art 360 degree projection, a revolving stage, and world class audiovisual technology.

Transmoderna’s NYC edition is presented by Teksupport, who have hosted some of the most important collisions of club culture, high fashion and technology in recent years. For the past decade, Teksupport has distinguished themselves in the underground for their skillful integration of expert musical curation and innovative production, making them the premier partners for stateside takeovers from global institutions.
