Draaimolen invites Eli Keszler for a performance at De Pont Museum

In a pilot collaboration with De Pont Museum Draaimolen presents a performance of Eli Keszler. Draaimolen and De Pont started conversations a year ago to research where their creative insights, accumulated during years of experience at different ends of the cultural spectrum, could meet.

During this kick-off event, the visitors are invited to 3 sessions of short concerts in the vast exhibition space of De Pont Museum. Headlining the concert is a New York-based experimental percussionist, composer and visual artist, Eli Keszler. His music and installations have appeared in art institutions all over the world, including The Barbican’s LSO St Lukes in London and The Whitney Museum in New York, next to festivals such as Unsound in Kraków and CTM in Berlin.

Located in an old wool-spinning mill in Tilburg, the contemporary art museum De Pont has been at the forefront of the Dutch art scene, displaying works of acclaimed visual artists such as Anish Kapoor, David Claerbout, Tacita Dean, Fiona Tan, James Turrell and Bill Viola since it opened its doors in 1992.

The event is free of charge and will take place in De Pont Museum, Tilburg. De Pont Museum has free access for visitors every Thursday from 5 to 8pm. More information can be found on www.draaimolen.nu
