Electric Island announces season six line-up Ft. The Martinez Brothers, Loco Dice, Black Coffee, Green Velvet, Nicole Moudaber & More

What began as a modest gathering of passionate music lovers on the Toronto Island back in 2013, has grown to become the city’s most cherished summer concert series. Over the past 6 years, Electric Island has grown in size and global prominence among the electronic music community. Together, partners at Embrace, Footwork and Platform have been responsible for bringing through the industry’s biggest names including Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Maceo Plex and many more. This year, Electric Island is thrilled to announce their 6th season on the island, with 5 events taking place on Sunday, May 20th, Sunday, July 1st, Saturday, August 11th, Sunday, September 2nd and Monday, September 3rd. In alphabetical order, Electric Island welcomes Brazil’s techno export ANNA, Moscow Records / Moss Co. / Arkityp Records boss Archie Hamilton, the infectiously energetic Billy Kenny, South African multi-award winning producer Black Coffee, Toronto’s very own tech maestros Carlo Lio b2b Nathan Barato, the headstrong techno sounds of Belgian DJ Charlotte de Witte, Miami’s boundless Danny Daze, dance floor groove-generators Detlef b2b Latmun, Life and Death conceptualizer DJ Tennis, Berlin’s BPitch femme Ellen Allien, a man who needs no introduction; the one and only Green Velvet, the soulful Detroit techno sounds of Toronto’ very own Greg Gow, Glasgow’s lively & versatile Jackmaster, Dirtybird household name Justin Martin, Anjunadeep’s Lane 8, a man who is capable of setting fire to every dance floor put before him; it’s Loco Dice, Techno’s queen Nicole Moudaber, No.19 Music’s Co-Founder Nitin, Canadian sonic narrator Noah Pred, the wonderfully imaginative studio wizard Robert Babicz, Mobilee’s passionate & emotive live act Rodriguez Jr., Octopus Records artist Shelley Johannson, booty-bouncin’ House act Shiba San, Montreal duo The Fitness & Pony, House music’s favourite bros; The Martinez Brothers and ADID frequenter YokoO.

As always, attendees will also be able to catch the finest of Toronto’s homegrown talent. Arrive early to experience Electric Island in its purest form.
