For nearly twenty years now, CJ Jeff has been championed by some of the most respected house and techno labels around. From, 8Bit, Objektivity, Klingย Klong, Yoshitoshi through to his latest release on Solardo’sย Sola Recordsย imprint.
Born and bred in Greece, with influences ranging from Massive Attack and Pink Floyd to Danny Tenaglia, Jeff soon developed his trademark sound and suitably chic aesthetic to match. Having worked closely with fellow Greek producer Thodoris Triantafillou,ย Jeffโs output is never less than devastatingly effective when experienced in a club environment. Early releases came on Souvenir and These Days, John Digweedโs seminal Bedrock and Supernovaโs Lapsus Music, with high-profile remixes for Booka Shade and the hit singles โLeave Meโ and โGuettoโโaย collaboration with Sharam Key.
2017 kept Jeff in the spotlight with the super freshย โPure Happinessโ on elrow music and more on Nick Curlyโs 8bit, Klingย Klong including a remix by Gorge, and an EP on Yoshitoshi featuring an Audiojack remix. Always evolving his style but remaining true to his roots, 2018ย started in fine fashion with โTribeโ, a big tune on Pirupaโs label that got heavy support from tastemakers like Nic Fanciulli, Oxia andย Rafa Barios. Like all his releases to date, it climbed high in the online charts and got played far and wide.
Jeff has also collaborated with the legendary Doc Martin on his own labelย Rhythmetic, with yet more EPs line-up for big labels in the rest of the year. Very early on in his career, Jeff started a residency at Dybbuk, aย weekly Thursday party which he still continues to this day, 13 years later, making it one of the longest-running in the world. Itโs aย remarkable achievement for someone who is now an internationally recognised name who plays in many of the worldโs best clubs, includingย Spy Bar in Chicago, Watergate in Berlin, D. Edge, Beehive andย Warung in Brazil and fabric in London.
