Exclusive Premiere: 2 Reels – Pass It Down (Naughty G’s Resurrection Remix) – Salt Records

Up next on Salt Records is another quality cut from those 2 Reels boys, ‘Pass It Down’. The lads themselves have provided two mixes of their own so whether it’s the deeper original or the more melodic Bogart mix both mixes will get the dance floor moving. Plus there is three top remixes to accompany them.

First up, Brent Lawson returns to the label with another thumping remix. Up next, Innerstate have gone for a deep dubby mix which will bring back memories of that early 2000 sound that many loved so much. Innerstate are Frank Prosnik and Jason Timothy Ward, a Band from the late 90s who produced West coast progressive house number one hit “Sidewinder” which was played for nearly a year by all the big hitters such as Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Sasha, the band broke up shortly thereafter and have not worked with each other for over 15 years but have been reunited by 2 Reels especially for this release.

Next up is the superb remix by Gaetan Schurrer AKA Naughty G. Gaetan is a man who should need no introduction as he has been a member of Sasha’s inner circle for many years and worked on the seminal album Northern exposure as well as worked with artists such as BT, Rowan Blades and Barry Jamieson among others. He is currently in charge of the Perth symphony orchestra and has come out of retirement especially to do this remix and what a beauty it is. He has weaved intricate breaks patterns and deep sub basslines under 2 Reels melodies and created a modern classic which will no doubt prove a big hit for the progressive breaks brigade.

With 5 top mixes to chose from there is something here for everyone, a truly great package and whether you like house, techno or even breaks you’ll find something to tickle your musical taste buds. Another quality release from Salt Records which is available from 14th October 2019.
