Sydney duo Bohm have steadily built their name through a focused approach to the dancefloor, long-form sets and a consistent production output. Working across Melodic House and Techno, Indie Dance and Afro House, their music prioritises groove and emotion over genre trends. Six Top 10 Beatport releases and two number ones sit alongside performances at Cavo Paradiso Mykonos, P1 Munich and Ivy Sydney, with support slots for the likes of Gorgon City, Paul Van Dyk and Cassian rounding out a solid international profile.
They are one of several artists featured on a release that carries some real significance for Australian independent electronic music.
Sydney label UGENIUS Music marks their 100th release with UGM100, a two-part compilation reflecting 13 years of operation, 144 artists and 367 records. The label has used the occasion to bring together a selection of artists from across their catalogue alongside some newer additions to the roster.
Decoded Magazine is pleased to exclusively premiere the release. As the label puts it, their approach has remained consistent throughout: “to put out quality music and create a platform for artists to express their unique voices.” UGM100 is as much a retrospective of that ethos as it is a look forward into what the label has planned for the year ahead.
