Fairmont is a man that does not need too much of an introduction. He has been wowing us with his unique ethereal techno sound now for around 10 years. His last release was on the mighty Bedrock with the track “Gigawave”. This time he returns to familiar territory on his own label, Beachcoma.

First up on the release is the title track “Grizzly”, and is very much the sound of Fairmont. Please do not mistake that as a negative at all! This man has carved his own sound for years and is simply a master at his own craft. The signature synth sounds that he has become known for are very evident and it is a sound I adore. Grizzly is an emotional, yet moody affair that just draws you in like a warm duvet on a winter’s day. Sublime melodies and ethereal sounds to die for, and if you are a fan of this man’s sound you will love this.

The next and final track on the release is “Bleak House”. The track is filled with a wicked pulsating bass sound that really does draw you in to the track from the off. The way this man layers melodies just baffles me. When you hear that synth swell in and out of the track you just know this is going to be another journey of love from this man. You need to hear this track folks!

Another superb release from Fairmont and another superb release on this great label! The way Fairmont fuses disco, techno, electronica and love into his music will always leave with a sense of bewilderment when I hear his music. If you like your electronic music with an air of intelligence and sophistication you need this release in your collection.
