Feline is Suara’s vinyl only sub-label which plans to only put out three releases per year. They’re taking a lot of care on this new project, not only with the design but also with the sound. This second release is from Kresy & Skygaze and has five very special tracks ranging from deep groovy house to slamming techno.
Alejandro Rodríguez aka Kresy took his first steps in the Spanish electronic scene in 2001, releasing a number of tracks with British label MultiVitamins with a sound halfway between minimal and downtempo house music. In 2012 his career took off with the release of the EP Lords of Percussion and Basement Trax, both on Hivern Discs. A few years later, he released Ode to New York on the prestigious British label Freerange Records, managed by Jimpster and started his own label – Discomaths, and secured a residency at the Lanna Club in Northern Spain.
This year, Kresy has released his first track on Discomaths and is working on a new project for Hivern Discs, oriented towards slow lo-fi techno with African influence. As a DJ, Kresy has played clubs and festivals all over The world with some stand out performances at Sonar, Piknik Electronic, Panorama bar, Corsica studios and Trouw.
Skygaze is a man of few words, allowing his music to talk for him. Based in mainland Spain and signed to a number of indie labels, Skygaze is most at home making music. His tastes range from downtempo electronica to avant-garde hip hop and future jazz. His talents haven’t gone unnoticed either, with appearances at Sonar and for Boiler Room.
