Every vinyl lover knows that great feeling of adventure, digging through the swarms of wax on your weekly visit to the record shop. The magical gems you find are like no other. The dynamic mix downs of the vinyl era are truly inspiring and most of the time, it is a forgotten art. That dynamic approach has been used to the highest standard in Rolando and Sterac’s remixes of Roberto’s modern classics, released on Fossil Archive in 2015, ‘Perisphinctes’ and ‘Tiziani’.

The darkness of Rolando’s remix sets the tone for the cold, warehouse winters ahead. The twisted sounds provide ample sustenance to our Techno gland. The off-beat percussion aligns with the fat filtered bass and deep vinyl kick. The stratospheric background noise fades into retro stabs with reversed delays to ignite the surrounding fuel and show us the impact this energised style can have.

Sterac’s remix of ‘Tiziani’ makes great use of the famous 909 sound. The arpeggiated bass speeds things up to a level unimaginable and grows into an acidic flow of epicness. You can really hear the influences of early acid house on Sterac’s remix and it is a track that can easily stand as a true tribute to that age of House.

We know what to expect from Fossil Archive. Absolute pearls in a sea of wax. This remix pack takes two already incredible tracks from Roberto and gifts us with fresh new takes on his work. Now, I am off to rave the night away!!!
