Ryan Davis is an artist that has been making waves in the electronic music scene now sine 2006 when he released his debut “Transformer EP” on Klang Gymnastik. Since that first release Ryan has gone on to release tracks on labels such as Traum Schallplatten, Areal Records, Bedrock, Beachcoma, and Anjunadeep. His tracks have also been featured on mix compilations by Ivan Smagghe and John Digweed, and his followers include the likes of Sasha, Hernan Catteneo, Nick Warren, Stephan Bodzin and Max Cooper.

Since 2011 Ryan has become a constant artist on the Traum Schallplatten imprint with a number of high profile releases including his album “Particles Of Bliss”, his collaborations with Electric Rescue, “A Walk”, and Applescal, “Creatures”. His most recent release on the label was “State Of Mind” which was in November 2013. Ryan has also been working with the Areal label in his hometown of Berlin.

In addition to the aforementioned Ryan has founded two of his own labels, BackHome and Klangwelt where he offers the platforms to new artists in order to promote themselves releasing alongside bigger names.

With a history in the scene like this you can understand why he has played across the globe at clubs such as Rex Club, Tresor and Week End. When an artist describes his sound as a “journey full of stories which describe feelings, dreams and desires” you know he is a person worth speaking to, and I feel very privileged to have grabbed a few minutes of his time for a chat about his work and what he has in the pipeline for 2015.
