Sunday March 27th is the date underground house and techno lovers need to put in their diary: it is the date of the next and very special Half Baked party to celebrate the release of HB008. Taking place in the newly refurbished great space that is Studio 338 in South London, which is currently having a massive steel and glass atrium installed, it is to be headlined by Mike Huckaby, Dan Ghenacia, DJ Qu, Point G (Live), Julietta, Cabanne, Le Loup, Yone-Ko and Robin Ordell as well as a secret guest.
What started as a Sunday party around six years ago has now evolved into one of London’s finest gatherings. Taking place in a range of unusual and exciting spaces, it has also played out in Berlin, Barcelona, Miami, Beirut and more places around the world. Now also a record label that outs out forward thinking music from friends and family, this celebration is sure to be another fine memory.
Heading is a great team of truly forward thinking producers including influential French movers and shakers Dan Ghenacia, who is a key part of the Apollonia trio and used to run Freak n Chic. Then comes Mike Huckaby, a Detroit deep house star who works with labels like Tresor, Harmonie Park and Sushitech, joining him is raw house artist and live specialist Point G, aka DJ Gregory, plus veteran Cabanne and one half of Hold Youth, Le Loup, who has a sultry and minimal sound all his own. All the way from New Jersey will be deep and moody techno maker and Strength Music label boss DJ Qu, with german Half Baked associate Julietta, as well as Yone-Ko and Robin Ordell, all lining up for this mammoth showcase.
