Originally released in 2015 as part of a three tracker EP called Baltics, ‘Harvest Dance’ by Lithuanian producers Phonic Scoupe got a fair bit of success as it were. Now back on Chris Fortier’s label, we see a re-release except this time it’s remix collaboration time, with the El Maestro, Hernan Cattaneo teaming up with friend DJ/Producer, Graziano Raffa reworking the tune.

The track gets a facelift of cosmic funk interiors, deftly traversing spacey corners and a far out feeling with the play of electronics all working in tandem to give us an aerial dance cut. This reinterpretation doesn’t change much if you hear it closely, but the nicely trotting pace alongside the melting big bass makes good promise for all the galactic travelers of the night, looking to expand their moves all over the floor. The prodigious experience of Cattaneo with gifted music maker Raffa creates a dubby exchange that sounds nearly early 2000s Tribal yet the exchange of ideas sound so very 2017 with oodles of wobbly bass and undulating embellishments of winding roller synth and percussive structure.
