Irish Indie group Deoraí drop ‘Litir Dheireanach’ (Last Letter)

Irish-language music and film project, Deoraí, is set to return following a hiatus dedicated to refining their studio setup (spending all their money on it!) and focusing on the craft,. Deoraí is excited to announce the release of a new single, Litir dheireanach ( Last Letter), a potent mix of warm punk disco, shimmering rock guitars, and a resonant string section.

Litir dheireanach explores the lasting impact of early choices made in the life of a person. The song, a heartfelt letter from an older perspective to a young man on the cusp of a dangerous path, pairs profound emotional depth with Deoraí’s characteristic energetic soundscape.

Accompanied by a music video directed by Ed.Did.It, starring Kieran O’Neil with Tony Ward and Teddy Darling (God Creative), the track further establishes Deoraí as a creative force that blends the counter-cultural and postmodernist artistic perspectives.

Their unique approach to storytelling has received national and international acclaim, including features in The Irish Times, The Irish Independent, and more, along with regular airtime on stations like RTÉ 2 fm and BBC Radio Ulster. Also, Deoraí has impacted the film festival world, winning Best Music Video in the Europe Music Awards and Official Selection in the 13th Underground Cinema Film Awards, both in 2022.
