James Holden to play 24-hour party at Corsica Studios

Earlier this year, Nottingham’s local hero Lukas Wigflex announced a residency at Corsica Studios as part of the new Small Talk party series. Since launching, he has invited the likes of mad miran, CCL, Bruce, Powder and Roman Flugal to take to the decks at the famed South London venue.

Always seeking ways of going bigger and better, this November, Wigflex will be hosting an extra special 24-hour party at Corsica Studios – the first to be hosted at the club. Bringing the kaleidoscopic world of a Wigflex party to South East London, like a graphic novel the event will evolve into many scene changes and energy shifts – essentially being able to come to two different parties over the course of the weekend.

The Saturday evening programme will be faster and harder whilst Sunday focuses on proggier, warmer, weirdo music to see you through the final stretch. A reflection of this change in programming, in room two there will be a visual installation by long-term collaborator Matt Woodham and all/WITHIN as well as soft furnishings and secret rooms to get lost in.

On the lineup you will find Wigflex staples and Nottingham legends Mez & Grandmixxer, Son Of Philip & Keydell, Aurora Halal, mad miran, Oceanic and Dr. Banana & Charlie Bones. There will be a rare James Holden DJ set as well as special live performances from Jorg Kuning (under Bakk Heia Records alongside Schuttle), and Zolaa. Alongside these are some of the UK’s most exciting DJs and future stars – Club Fitness, Ellie Stokes, Emerald, Jamiu – alongside Hyperdub affiliate Cooly G, UK collective Plur Project and ambient duo Space Afrika.

To keep you fully stocked and energised throughout, there will be a tuckshop located outside for rave fuel, bloody mary’s for the traditional Sunday morning delight and Wigflex’s signature buckfast Negroni’s.
