The North Quarter head honcho, Lenzman has announced his new album ‘A Little While Longer’ and joined forces with South London vocalist Danny Sanchez on the new single ‘Gimmie A Sec’, out 16th April.
Juxtaposing rapid-fire funky breaks and quickfire bars with jazz-inflected piano chords and a soul-tinged chorus, ‘Gimmie A Sec’ sees Lenzman tap into his trademark sound with enviable finesse. ‘Gimmie A Sec’ marks the first single release from A Little While Longer, an 11-track release featuring Satl, Slay, Fox and more, out 14th May. Written over a three-month period, it tackles the emotions and challenges of a total change of rhythm and routine, frustrated confinement and overcoming a void in inspiration.
A music producer, unorthodox A&R and soulful D&B ambassador, Lenzman champions a sound that rises above trends and pushes the genre to new depths. The Amsterdam-based artist has released a steady stream of albums over the last few years, also performing at Outlook, Gottwood holding down a Phonox London residency alongside countless other tastemaker events.
A young singer and rapper from South London, Danny Sanchez’s music is a reflection of the trials and tribulations of everyday life and the struggles of keeping up with everything around us. His honest lyricism combined with his smooth and soulful vocals allows him to explore a myriad of sounds and emotions, a skillset which is on display for all in ‘Gimmie A Sec’.
His first single release from his forthcoming album, ‘Gimmie A Sec’ marks the first chapter in the next story of one of D&B’s most prolific talents.
