This January LWE will be bringing the inescapable and desirous sounds of mobilee records to Egg London. Here’s some of the talent that the Berlin outfit have lined up for a night to launch a new series of nights for 2014… LWE presents mobilee.
Olivier Mateu’s wide-ranging inspirations and interests find their ultimate outlet as his alias took form into Rodriguez Jr., positioning him as mobilee’s new master of eclecticism. A product of South Of France, between Nîmes and Montpellier far from any big city, Olivier Mateu grew up on the seaside during the 1990s where he oscillated between piano lessons and electronic music parties. As one half of French electro act The Youngsters – best known for their two studio albums and singles for Laurent Garnier’s F-Communications – Mateu has already received enough plaudits and praise to last a lifetime. The Youngsters’ award-winning productions catapulted them into the international arena, taking them to some of the biggest clubs and festivals around the world.
Lee Van Dowki’s soulful brand of techno sets him out from the rest, with an inviting rhythm that works its way not only under your skin, but into your deepest feelings. Having spent the last decade establishing himself and his sound, he is moving in exciting new directions that keep him at the very top of the pile. Lee Van Dowski: The very name exudes style and intrigue—a country lord, perhaps, who at night throws open the manor gates to host all-night bacchanals legendary for their wine and song. And though the French-born, Geneva-based artist may not have a manor to his name, the rest isn’t far off the mark…
Ralf Kollmann has long harboured the capacity of mobilee artists, into a grander movement that has embodied the creative and do it yourself spirit of Berlin’s scene. As well continuing to grow the ever-expanding ship of mobilee as a collective, Ralf still has time to showcase the best of exclusive new cuts in his DJ sets. Ralf Kollmann is mobilee’s secret weapon; the quintessential double-threat who has taken the imprint to lofty heights with his business prowess, and to dancefloors worldwide with his renowned DJ skills.
Ray Okpara An artist whose roots lie half in Nigeria represents today for what we understand as House: PERCUSSIONS, DRIFTY HYPNOTIC BEATS, WITH A TOUCH OF SOUL AND IF THE ATMOSPHERE ALLOWS MARVELOUSLY DEEP…
William Kouam Djoko has been active in the Dutch house scene for almost a decade. Starting off with his first solo 12″ on ThirtyOneTwenty in 2009, his “Hard Loving” really marked his first breakthrough. Being picked up by some of the world’s biggest DJ’s and starring on compilations like Watergate, Cocoon and the Balance Series. Apart from being a gifted producer, William is also responsible for Trouw Amsterdam’s successful Late Night Society club night.
Ranacat is a DJ, music producer and club night promoter based in Berlin. From Rosario, Argentina he started his music career as the lead singer of the band Reyno Babylon. Following two albums he relocated to London where he has been Djing and promoting parties for 10 years, including his most recent night Word of Mouth, with DJ friends Sonogama, and his residency at warehouse party Select*Elect. His wide musical background in combination with his fine taste make his sets a great mix of positive energy and deep underground disco house.
