Modeselektor, DJ Tennis, Axel Bowman and Eagles and Butterflies join Maceo Plex at Avant Garde this NYD

Mosaic by Maceo Plex
Bankside Vaults

Maceo Plex thought that this name fit perfectly for a party brand that aims to bring together many “musical colours”, blending the likes of DJ Koze, John Talabot, Pachanga Boys, Red Axes and many many more over 20 weeks of Ibiza events. The concept of bringing together the more experimental and esoteric electricians of our age has helped reinvigorate an island, and now, on New Years’ Day, it comes to help reinvigorate a city.

London’s nightlife may be under siege, but we continue to party in the face of adversity; New Year’s Day has become a celebratory day of clubbing in for the city, which makes it the ideal day for Maceo Plex to bring his eclectic event to one of the best venues in Central London: the cavernous Bankside Vaults. This former train depot boasts three rooms of music, a capacity of 2000 and will feature the customary Mosaic production, all within walking distance of the River Thames.

As for the lineup…the don of Ellum and master of Mosaic, Maceo Plex will, of course, be in attendance, after performing in London earlier this year what some say was one of his greatest ever sets. Maceo is joined by a plethora of talent, starting with the enigmatic Modeselektor, the hugely diverse and talented Monkeytown Records duo having excelled at Mosaic in Ibiza this summer and just completed a storming tour under the Moderat moniker.

DJ Tennis, the super producer, DJ and co-founder of transcendent label Life & Death, makes his Bankside Vaults debut, as does Axel Boman, the owner of the esteemed imprint Studio Barnhus, as well as releasing on pretty much every forward thinking label going. It’s been a long time since Eagles & Butterflies played London, and with his releases on Innervisions being played by pretty much everyone, especially Dixon, he’s someone we’re really excited to have come into the Mosaic fold. Fellow Innervisions artist Denis Horvat completes the lineup, with Avant Garde residents Rabota and Troubadour taking over the psychedelic third room.
