Magic Door reveal Gold and Glitter NYE plans for Birmingham with Maxxi Soundsystem, PBR Streetgang and more

Magic Door are bringing their epic year to a fantastical conclusion this NYE, as they celebrate what has been a phenomenal 2017 in their usual mayhem-infused style. Fresh from the immense success of reaching their 5th birthday in October and taking in some of Europe’s finest boutique festivals through the summer, they are now very proud to reveal their final party of the year with an abundance of vibrant colour, spooky disco, house and techno, and a smattering of distilled madness across Lab 11 in Birmingham to see in 2018. Residents Maxxi Soundsystem, Jukes of Hazard and Deano Ferrino will be joined by PBR Streetgang and many more.

Magic Door’s NYE is by far their biggest show; it’s not just the culmination of the entire year coming together in one final extravaganza to which people from far across the country travel and converge on Digbeth in a frenzy of colour and noise, but also the most revered and garlanded party they do, too. There are many glowing accolades for NYE when everything goes up a notch, elevating the party’s immense and inspirational ambition even higher.

NYE is also the only show where the team reveal the theme early (instead of when people first arrive!), so everyone can seek inspiration and prepare in advance; Sunday 31st December at Magic Door is a Gold and Glitter extravaganza, so expect a particularly resplendent session for all of the senses, with everyone dressed beautifully and the production taken to a new level.

Jit Coulter-Patel, one of Magic Door’s co-founders, explains:

“We are all super excited for our final show of the year, where we will see out 2017 and usher in 2018 the only way we know how – with a massive party! It’s a very special time for all of the team as we bring together everything which makes Magic Door unique, and it really is one of our favourite parties. As always, we are announcing the theme early too so everyone can get creative – we know we will be seeing some amazing outfits, and equally we are going to make Lab 11 an incredible experience from start to finish!”
