With a sound born in New York, ripened in London and refined in Berlin, Margaret Dygas is a deeply respected fixture in electronic music circles with critically acclaimed records on Perlon, 50Weapons and Non-Standard Productions, while maintaining a residency at Panorama Bar for the last decade. She joins Wooded for her first gig on Polish soil in over 5 years.
Dynamic electro outfit WhoMadeWho also joins the party. The Danish trio have lit up stages at Melt Festival, Sonar, Roskilde and the legendary Robot Heart over the years, alongside sure-fire production on Gomma, Get Physical and Kompakt. They’re set for a big 2018 with remixes for Tale Of Us, Hot Chip, and Maceo Plex, alongside a new album ‘Through the Walls’ and arrive in Szczecin for a DJ performance.
Respected selector DJ Steaw will make his Wooded debut with a special world-first b2b alongside Jay Shepheard. A master of French groove, Steaw draws from gospel, techno and house and channels this into fantastic productions on his own Rutilance Recordings and labels such Madhouse Recordings, and My Love Is Underground. Recently warming up for Carl Craig and Derrick May in Paris, he’s working on new material for Catz ‘N Dogz own Pets Recordings, and Hot Haus this year. Likewise Jay Shepheard’s knack for mixing up house, techno and disco has made him a Pets favourite, alongside strong releases on Freerange, Rebirth, and Compost. In 2018, he’ll reveal a collaboration with DJ Steaw, ensuring their upcoming b2b is fortuitously timed.
Beloved Berlin duo Soukie & Windish will be making the trip from the German capital to join the line-up. The pair’s sound swings between rave, disco grooves and bass-infused techno and has seen them regularly perform at Garbicz Festival, Fusion Festival, Kater Blau and Wilde Renate. With releases on imprints such as Liebe*Detail, Audiomatique, Connaiseur and their own URSL, they’ll hit Wooded loaded with plenty of fresh party cuts.
With an emphasis on forward-focused Polish talent, the line-up is completed by An On Bast, the inspiring live artist and Red Bull Alumni, the deep disco funk of Das Komplex, Earth Trax and his shimmering brand of IDM, the deftly skilled Floating Groove, Hafendisco mainstay Manoid and rising talents Mamjazza, Droptech and Seb. Norway’s Olanskii, who is a resident at Oslo clubbing hotspot Jaeger rounds out the programming.
