For the Halloween edition of their legendary underground party series, Glasgow’s techno trailblazers Slam will be hitting SWG3 armed with a line-up full of attitude.
The Soma label heads have continued an assault on 2019 with their relentless output on Soma while curating some of the most notorious parties in the UK including Glasgow’s Riverside Festival and they’ve lined up some formidable talent for Maximum Pressure.
Karenn, the live-focused collaboration of Blawan and Pariah, have been destroying dancefloors all year after exploding back on to the scene with their first releases in 5 years – the acclaimed, ‘Kind of Green’ EP and Voam Club Archive 001, which launched their long-awaited debut album Grapefruit Regret, due to be released in November with a monumental tracklist to complement their blinding live shows.
Specialising in spinning the gnarliest techno, electro and acid, Hamburg electronic artist Helena Hauff will bring her incendiary style of vinyl mixing to the party. Her first EP for 2 years, ‘Living With Ants’, is coming out in September.
Paula Temple’s visceral style of techno offers a fitting climax to the proceedings. Since her debut album ‘Edge of Everything’ earlier this year, Temple has been smashing it at clubs, festivals and even on the airwaves, from 6music adoration to her outstanding ‘Essential Mix’.
Commanding the floor of SWG3’s more intimate TV Studio for a special three hour back-to-back is Glaswegian tech-house hero, Jasper James. The head-honcho of Mitchell Street Records will be joined by longtime Panorama Bar resident and founder of up and coming new label Faith Beat, Ryan Elliott.
Silicone Soul, Maximum Pressure regulars and founders of one of the most authentic and timeless labels to come out of Scotland, Darkroom Dubs, will be bringing their distinct brand of immersive house to the TV Studio following the recent release of their long-awaited dancefloor thumper Fahrenheit 625.
Also announced is house & electro duo Craigie Knows. Founders of the hype label Craigie Knows and stalwarts of the Glasgow scene, these guys specialise in injecting any party with raw attitude.
Celebrating a decade of his notorious club night Pulse Edinburgh, Darrell Pulse will be wreaking some big, up-tempo techno energy on the party.
The event takes place in Glasgow’s iconic SWG3 complex including the more intimate TV Studio and the 10-meter-high Galvanizers where Slam go to town on sonics and lighting production.
