Mint Lounge opens in Ibiza

Saturday 29th sees the opening of Mint Lounge. With doors opening from 1pm until late and a soundtrack provided by resident DJ’s Jason Bye and Lekno its promising to be an opening not to be missed. For those who don’t know, Mint lounge is based on the seafront, specializing in the finest Italian cuisine with refreshing cocktails and relaxed calming atmosphere based at the end of the Sunset Strip. Saturday March 29 celebrates the start of another year for Mint, and if previous years are anything to go by, it will be a family affair as the island turns out to welcome back an old favourite. Located directly next door to Mambo, its older and more famous relative, might, for some, prove to be problematic, but Mint Lounge offers a slightly different sunset experience, a more chilled affair, where its corner spot gives patrons an unbridled view of the daily phenomenon that clobbers and locals on Ibiza love.

Mint Lounge offers one of the early openings and sees Ibiza come out of hibernation to welcome it back, with islanders descending on Sunset Strip for the first time to catch up with old friends that they might have spoken to but not seen since the end of the previous year. Ibiza in winter can become an desolate place, where local villages become the focal point of activity and the normal tourist hang out spots that are packed during the season, can be deserted until now. The shutters are almost up and Mint Lounge will be welcoming friends and family to the seafront on Saturday March 29 and with the weather in Ibiza nudging the temperature gauge up consistently in recent weeks, it promises to be a beautiful day on the waterfront in San Antonio. The party kicks off at 1pm but goes on till late so maybe bring a jacket for when the sun goes down. Mambo resident Jason Bye and Lenka will deliver the usual cool soundtrack and it would be rude not to partake i a few of Mint’s famous cocktails.
