Motion and Luna join forces to bring Noir and Detlef to Liverpool

Motion and Luna have joined forces to bring you a Summer Day/Night Party across two venues in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle. 11th July sees the two headliners, Noir and Detlef hit Liverpool, ably supported by some of the best local talent Liverpool has to offer.

Noir, brings his eclectic, unpredictable and hugely energetic DJ set to Liverpool. One of the planet’s most in demand house DJs and owner of the hugely successful and pioneering label, Noir Music which has been responsible for helping break both Finnebassen and Hot Since 82. He’s also the creator for one of the decade’s biggest house tracks so far, 2011’s global club smash ‘Around’. The track, a sexy, synthesizer-tinted groove featuring vocalist Hayze, was by far the biggest of Noir’s career to date. Picked up by house giants Defected, it dominated dancefloors across the world for nearly 18 months and that marriage has strengthened with more releases between the two including the recent mix compilation Noir In The House.

Joining Noir will be Luna’s second headliner, Viva Music’s Greek hero, Detlef. Having made his debut in February 2010, Detlef has already managed to release music on respected labels such as VIVa MUSiC, Be As One, Moon Harbour and Defected. “Cooking” and experimenting different styles of house music, Detlef is a music lover and prefers not to say many things about himself but speak through his music.

The supporting cast for this event include Derek Kaye who over the past 40 years has played in and around the North West, both in residencies and guest spots alongside close friend Greg Wilson. His style needs no introduction and fits in seamlessly with our other guest Desa Basshead who will be joining Derek in the day. Most famous for the seminal track, “Is there anybody out there?” in the 90s, his knowledge and passion for all things house and disco are second to none.

Completing the DJs for the event are Luna Resident Steve Parry who has been at the forefront of cutting edge music for over 25 years, and joint owner of established imprint Selador Records with Dave Seaman. 2015 is an exciting year for Steve with gigs including his recent appearance at Watergate in Berlin. Rounding our exciting line up off we have Motion resident and owner, Prudence and new Luna Residents, Django’s House Party.
