Whilst we are living in this rather frustrating and isolated existence, let’s face it, many of us have grown even more intolerable of other humans. The idea of an isolated holiday seems that bit more appealing these days and the ongoing global pandemic has made the prospect of an isolated holiday all the more appealing.
The person behind this project is author and designer, Prashant Ashoka. The glass-covered cabin is located in Central Mexico on a now-extinct volcano and is built on a foundation made entirely from locally-sourced rock. The beautifully designed cabin is completely self-sustaining, running off solar power and collected rainwater.
The building is also just a 20-minute drive from the San Miguel de Allende, Mexico UNESCO World Heritage Site which is a must-visit should you ever visit the area. Casa Etére is currently available for holiday bookings with a minimum two-night stay starting at $358. More info can be found here.
