New EP from Edinburgh based electronic outfit Future Get Down is out now

The debut EP from Edinburgh-based electronic outfit Future Get Down, titled ‘EP1’ is released on Friday 6th April.

Recorded with Mercury nominated producer Richard Formby (Ghostpoet, Hookworms, Wild Beasts and Vessels) at MJ from Hookworms’ Suburban Home Studio in Leeds, the EP features single Van Eck Phreaking released at the end of March and championed by BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq.

Described by The Skinny magazine as “LOUD, dark, synth-fuelled dance music that’s not for the faint of heart”, Edinburgh five-piece Future Get Down made their live debut during Independent Venue Week 2017. Since then they’ve appeared at festivals such as Electric Fields (recorded in full by BBC Radio Scotland) and Glasgow’s Stag & Dagger as well supported the likes of Kraftwerk’s Wolfgang Flür and Jenny Hval.

Future Get Down’s two singles to date have been supported by BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio Scotland, The Skinny magazine and The Herald among others.
