Before labels like Dirtybird, Experts Only and Monstercat there was Om. Legends in the game and survivors of the past thirty years, Om โ with over 800 releases under its belt โ has withstood 9/11, the Dot Com bubble and burst, Napster, the birth and impending death of downloads, the recession, a global pandemic and political trials & tribulations, all the while still releasing great music.ย Theย Om Records – 30 Yearsย compilation will highlight some of the best the label has to offer, as one of Americaโs first and longest-running dance music brands.ย
30 years and over 800 releases later, legendary dance music label Om Records kicks off 2026 with the release of three singles this month with โStay On My Mindโ from Mark Farina, Hermero Espinosa and Dani Siciliano today, January 9, โDo It Rightโ from Groove Armada arriving on January 16 and โThe Sunshineโ from Colette, Richard Earnshaw and Kenny Summit on January 30. These three songs and more will appear on OM RECORDS – 30 YEARS, a compilation album celebrating the labelโs 30th anniversary to be released on May 8, 2026.
โStay On My Mindโ serves as the compilation albumโs lead single, a three-way collaboration between producers Mushroom Jazz maestro Mark Farina and the soulful and storytelling-driven Homero Espinosa, and renowned vocalist Dani Siciliano. Concocted as a tribute of sorts to the disco and electronic music pioneers of the past, โStay On My Mindโ is a new song but contains interpolations of classics โWhen Will The Day Comeโ written by London Mcdaniels, and vocal melody used in part from the original work โStill On My Mindโ written by Ralf Moufang and Elastic Headache.
