ORIGIN Los Angeles, set to open in Downtown Los Angeles’ Arts District

ORIGIN Los Angeles is set to open in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles in late summer or early autumn 2026. The venue continues the industrial event space at 613 Imperial Street, now developed into an indoor and outdoor space built to work across a range of events, from club nights to art, cultural and community programming.

The Arts District is one of the more culturally active neighbourhoods in Los Angeles, where music, art and community meet. ORIGIN has been designed for movement between spaces rather than a single fixed setting. Its main music room and outdoor area allow for several formats, with a focus on electronic music.

The venue is run by a team with a long record in Los Angeles nightlife. It was founded by Roni Mehrabian and Cyril Bitar, who are behind the LA brands SBCLTR and Minimal Effort and the events LABRYINTO, Brunch Electronik, The Maze, FLOAT and Resolutions. Between them they have more than 20 years of experience producing events in the city. ORIGIN marks their move into a permanent, independent music and arts venue.

The programme is built to shift between club nights, live concerts, promoter partnerships, private events and larger cultural activations. Fridays will feature electronic bookings across both established and independent artists. Saturdays will alternate between daytime outdoor events and late-night house and techno. A first line-up will be announced shortly. The venue will also host quarterly Arts District parties across its indoor and outdoor spaces.

Sound and production sit at the centre of the design, which comes from Marc Dizon, whose previous work includes Brooklyn Mirage, Output in New York, Hakkasan in Las Vegas and Sound in Los Angeles. The venue uses a custom analogue KV2 Audio system tuned for the space, intended to give even sound distribution from the dance floor to the mezzanine. A separate outdoor system has been set up for open-air conditions, with attention to the surrounding area.

Super Evil Genius Group is leading the brand identity. The Los Angeles agency has worked on John Summit’s Experts Only Records, Framework’s Spotlight Hollywood, Wynn Nightlife’s 2024 residency launch and Art Of The Wild Festival, and the opening of Tao Beach in Las Vegas.

ORIGIN is intended as a permanent base for artists, promoters and music communities in Los Angeles. Its approach is music-first and rooted in underground culture, while aiming to remain accessible. The venue has a defined identity, regular programming and a longer-term aim of becoming an established part of the Southern California music scene.
