Hot on the heels of his ace new tracks on Armada Deep and Simma Red labels, Malachi joins the Favouritizm camp with his brand new single featuring the deliciously elegant voice of Beth Aggett (Rudimental / Kidnapp Kid) titled ‘Just Let It Be’. Centred around a beautiful emotive piano hook underpinned by a bubbling bass groove that’s drizzled with Beth’s dreamy melancholy vocals, ‘Just Let It Be’ is a classy slice of contemporary deep vocal house ripe for the summer!
Malachi (aka Audiowhores, Graham Lord, Word of Mouth) hails from Manchester and has been a DJ / Producer since 2000. “Malachi” is the new frontier for this well-established artist who despite being young and progressive, was quoted as being a“House Music veteran” by Toolroom Records in 2015. Such an accolade is deserving to a non-stop career spanning 15 years which has seen Malachi collaborate with some of the industry’s finest, whilst delivering a constant stream of top-notch original productions, remixes and technically brilliant DJ sets to boot.
Growing up Malachi played bass & rhythm guitar in a band gigging in his hometown of Manchester, but it was the explosion of the Electronic music scene in the mid 90’s that propelled him to start producing music. Earlier productions saw release after release as Audiowhores alongside partner Adam Unsworth on Soulfuric, Peppermint Jam and MN2S, collaborating with the likes of Kathy Brown, Julia McKnight, Ce Ce Peniston, Barbara Tucker and Loletta Holloway on vocals. Fast forward 7 years and you’ll find a quantum leap from Soulful House to Tech / Deep House that has served to magnify Malachi’s presence on Beatport & Traxsource.
What followed can only be described as an onslaught of releases for the mighty imprintsDefected, Toolroom, Noir and Lapsus Music, featuring collaborations with Stee Downes, The Shapeshifters, Joey Negro, Alex Mills, Mr V and more. In 2015 Malachi launched the first single under his new guise, an emotive slice of Deep House titled ‘Dream Of The Life’ on the giant dance music label, Armada Deep to great acclaim, followed by ‘Space Hound’. In addition, he has ‘Love Break EP’ on Low Steppa’s Simma Red label, ‘Burning’on Milk & Sugar and ‘Just Let It Be’ on Favouritizm. 2016 is already shaping up to be a super exciting year for this talented Manc!
