Stripped welcome JOBE for his first release on the label and what a release it is. Jobe was born and raised in Newcastle and he is quoted as being “initiated into the club scene at an early age”. On the release Jobe presents the listener with two very tasty progressive cuts that are surely going to be a staple part of many prog DJs sets over the coming months. If you are a fan of JOBE’s previous work such as “Close Your Eyes” you will like this very much.

First up on the release we have the title track, “Principia”. This is track as expected on Norman’s label is sublime cut of progressive heaven. The track builds nicely from the start into a superb bassline groove with some well-placed warm pads and luscious keys. For me though this track is all about the break which builds into a lovely growling bassline driven prog journey track that takes you on mesmerising journey of well-placed melodies and percussion. I really do rate this track very highly, as you can probably tell!

Next up is “KoMa” which is once again a full on progressive number which is not a million miles away from the previous track which is a good thing. This is another slab of progressive heaven and one I can certainly see the likes of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren basking out. The build is filled with divine keys and effects and it all builds nicely into a flowing whirlwind of groove heavy progressive delights. Big tune!

Another stellar release from Mr Hines and one I expect to get a lot of attention from the progressive fraternity out there. I will eagerly be waiting to hear the next release from Jobe because if it is this good it will definitely be in my purchase crate!
