Redant Records release Snowglobe by The Shaker

Artist: The Shaker
Title: Snowglobe
Remixer: Kyubu
Label: Redant Records
Release Date: 26/11/2014
Genre: House/Techno

Next up on Redant Records we have “Snowglobe” by The Shaker AKA Pete Bones, which will be the labels 126th release. Such a staggering fact in this day and age, and hats off to the label for continuing to release such quality music.

First up on the release is the original vocal version of “Snowglobe”. The track is a lovely deep groovy workout out that is all about a rather slick and grumpy baseline, and a very well thought out vocal. The track builds nicely into the break where the vocal makes its first full appearance. The vocal has an almost Daughter vibe to it, and I am a huge fan. Really great track for those warm ups or groovy afternoon vibes. I can’t get over that baseline. It just gets under your skin! Lovely!

Next up we have a remix by Kyubu who go for a very different sound to the original. The sound is very much on a minimal techno vibe which builds beautifully along with a 303 sound that just rumbles away throughout the track, creating a mesmerising groove. I really like the bass stabs as well! I would image our resident techno fan, Mick loving this!

Very strong package here on a very good label. A track for both the house and techno fans. If I had to choose I would head for the vocal but the Kyubu remix is very solid and one I do recommend you take a listen to.
