Renaissance announce subscription package on Mixcloud Select

Renaissance has always had a pioneering reputation. Whether the Mix Collection Vol 1 by Sasha and Digweed, the first DJ-lead dance compilation to go Gold or being amongst the first to get mixed album content on to iTunes, the brand has traversed the physical to digital music revolution with a constant eye to the future.

Now, as digital downloads make way for the exponential growth of streaming, they are delighted to announce a subscription package on Mixcloud’s Select channel.

“Mixcloud’s Select service provides the perfect platform for Renaissance in 2020,” says Geoff Oakes, “DJ-led content has been at the heart of our operations throughout our entire history so, with the addition of Live, their video streaming channel, Mixcloud have provided a platform to deliver something truly special in the modern day.”

The offer will be spread across each month with new shows available weekly. It’ll be a heady mix of The Sound Of Renaissance, a podcast; Renaissance Radio, a 2-hour DJ mix; Renaissance Live, a 1-hour live stream from the most exciting new talent on the planet and Engage, their 2-hour flagship where the world’s best are invited to play something slightly different from beyond the dancefloor.

“Variety is very much key to our package,” continues Geoff, “We’re going to deliver over 6-hours of music a month with a different DJ every week for a fraction of the price of a mix compilation! Not to mention the wider benefits of access to our single releases, remastered back catalogue of albums, desktop and screensavers and various merchandise and ticketing offers. We really want to give subscribers as much value for money as possible,” he concludes.

And, crucially, Mixcloud is the first fully legal streaming platform, meaning all artists receive a fair royalty. Renaissance are delighted to be supporting the industry in this way.
