Review – Bedrock welcomes Steve Parry onboard with a 303 monster track

Artist : Steve Parry
Title : Flippant
Label : Bedrock
Date : 26/10/2015
Genre : Techno/303

It is with great pleasure that I get to introduce Steve Parry’s first release on a label I know he has looked up to and championed since I have known him. He is a man with over 25 years experience behind the decks, runs a record label with Dave Seaman (Selador Recordings), runs SMP3 Music and runs a monthly radio show on Frisky Radio. This is such a delight for a man that embodies everything I consider great about the underground music scene. Mr Parry has struck gold with his track “Flippant” that is out now on John Digweed’s Bedrock label…

This is Steve’s first solo release and is something I feel is more than overdue if this is the standard we can expect from him. The track is a full on acid builder that is on a parr with any Hardfloor or Josh Wink acid track I have ever heard… BIG words I know but if you have not heard this you need to now! This is a track that will grab you by the scruff of the neck and slap you until you are silly! 303 is a genre that is often overlooked in todays scene and in my opinion is a style that will always get a dance floor united and moving! If this is the level now set by Mr Parry I expect to see this man on Bedrock again very soon in the future. A truly incredible track on a label that only compliments the standard of this release. Hats off to you Mr Parry! I could not fault this even if I tried… Reach for the lasers and get ready for that incredible build up!

Buy this now if you have any sense about you!!!

Catch Steve Parry playing an extended set at Luna on 28th November in his home city.
